CHALLENGE
As a subcontractor to Pyramid Systems, Inc., Qnexis was tasked to assist the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps in creating a more user-focused website, with a special emphasis on projecting the client’s recruitment “branding” cues, clearly articulating recruitment-related information and increasing recruitment applications. Additional goals included enhancing website usability and navigation, optimizing the site for web search engine positioning and placement, enabling in-house website management and setting processes in place to measure user satisfaction.
APPROACH
Qnexis provided a comprehensive implementation plan for design/branding, content, development and launch of the Navy JAG website. The plan included the following steps: assessment of current site; development of site purpose and goals; recommendations for information architecture and content organization; create wireframe designs and develop content; develop website infrastructure; test and launch site; evaluate site via user feedback survey.
RESULTS
The U.S. Navy JAG “brand” is now featured throughout the site, as well as on a variety of marketing collateral. Ongoing survey feedback signifies a higher degree of user satisfaction (compared to the previous site), easier access to recruitment-related information and an increased percentage of recruitment applications for JAG careers. The site is also managed in-house, resulting in cost savings to the organization. Qnexis’s work with Navy JAG has led to other website projects in the federal government.
