U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP)


U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the largest federal law enforcement agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). CBP is charged with protecting Americans and our borders by keeping terrorists and their weapons out of the U.S. while facilitating lawful international travel and trade. 


The challenge  /  In the post-9/11 era, competition between law enforcement entities for highly skilled frontline professionals has risen dramatically. CBP is one of those entities which has found it increasingly challenging to secure the large volumes of applications required to meet extraordinary hiring needs for frontline positions, e.g., 3,500 applicants per week, for an 80,000 Border Patrol Agent vacancy announcement. 


Our solution  /  Qnexis has successfully met CBP recruiting objectives by working closely with CBP to understand recruitment goals. We have developed marketing and advertising strategies that attract qualified CBP applicants, including digital, broadcast and radio materials. We have developed a strategic recruitment message across all recruiting efforts – “America’s Frontline” – helping CBP become a known entity. We track our advertising and media activities on a daily basis against applicant count provided by the client.  In this way we are able to monitor and correlate the impact of advertising and media activities to meeting recruitment goals and objectives.
